Halloween "Witch Is In" Party

What a fun surprise these party photos were for me! My talented friend, Cris McGrath of Crissy's Crafts, asked me to tweak a little of my Halloween Party Printables set for the "Witch Is In" party she was hosting for her children. I had no idea how cute the details would be! Cris was even featured on Amy Atlas' blog a few days ago with her adorable Halloween party ideas. Amy says....

"Cris used store bought goodies and gave them a wicked makeover for this small party for her kids. The little witches snacked on witch brew-shaped sandwiches and cheese stick pretzel broomsticks. How great are those olives coming out of the brew? Sweet treats on the dessert table included cotton candy brew, cauldron cake pops, Hershey Kiss witch hats, lollipop witch pops, chocolate toads, wicked witch lollipop rings, and mini Reese’s and pretzel brooms. Activities included Witch’s freeze dance, musical chair and bingo. Great job."

When Amy says "Great job" you know you have a winner of a party!

Oreo Ghost Pops for Halloween

Photobucket

What a fun treat I've got to share today! Halloween Oreo ghost pops!

Need a fabulous treat to take to a school Halloween party? Want to make a teacher smile with a sweet gift of appreciation? Or how about a fun treat to leave at a friend's house after "Boo-ing" them? These ghost pops would be perfect and are as easy to make as they are cute with the help of a silicone ghost mold from Spinning Leaf.

Materials:
- Halloween Oreos
- White chocolate candy coating
- Black candy melts (or dark chocolate if you can't find the black candy coating)
- Oreo ghost mold from Spinning Leaf

TUTORIAL:

STEP 1: Put a few black candy melts in a microwave safe dish

STEP 2: Microwave according to the directions - be careful not to scorch it

STEP 3: Dip a clean, new small paintbrush into your melted candy coating

STEP 4: Brush the candy melts into the eye and mouth cavities of your ghost molds

STEP 5: Finish Step 4 for all of the ghost molds

STEP 6: Melt your white chocolate candy coating (be sure to follow the directions on the label)

STEP 7: Fill one ghost cavity 1/3 full of melted candy coating

STEP 8: Place your Oreo inside the cavity, making sure it is level

STEP 9: Spoon more candy coating over the Oreo to cover

STEP 10: Repeat for all of your ghost molds

STEP 11: Use the back of a knife to wipe away the excess candy coating and create a smooth back for your ghosts. Place the molds in the refrigerator for approximately 10 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.

STEP 12: Remove the molds from the refrigerator and bend the silicone slightly to pop out each ghost

STEP 13: Run a sharp knife around the edge of each ghost to remove the excess chocolate

STEP 14: Smooth the cut edges of chocolate with your fingers

You may wrap your little ghosts treats in cellophane and give them away at this stage or if you would like them on skewers like the ones in the photos, just carefully and slowly twist the sharp, pointed end of a wooden bbq skewer into the bottom of each ghost. Add a few cut rounds of white tissue paper stacked on top of one another with a few rounds of cheesecloth stacked on top of the tissue paper. Next add a sweet ribbon bow and you're done!

FREE Halloween Tags & Cupcake Toppers

Today I'm sharing a fun freebie printable for Halloween....
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
FREEBIE CIRCLES

Use them for teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, attach to sweet treats or you can even use them for cupcake toppers. Both 2" and 3" circles are included so break out those circle craft punches and get busy making some cute Halloween treats.

For best results I LOVE the 8.5"x11" sheets of ADHESIVE PAPER sold at Onlinelabels.com. This is fabulous, high quality adhesive paper and can create stickers from ANY printable design. I choose the
white glossy 8.5"x11" sheets found HERE.

Halloween Class Favors

Easy Halloween favors! Who doesn't love them?
They are cute, fun and inexpensive to make!
All you need is some paper towel rolls, candy and

Materials:
-- paper towel rolls
-- 3/4" and 2" circle punch
-- glue, scissors
-- ribbons
-- candy

Cut the paper towel roll into several pieces of 2" inches. I used the water bottle wrappers from Amanda's Parties To Go Halloween party printable to wrap the the mini rolls.

You could also use Halloween patterned scrapbook paper if you don't have the printables set, but of course, we think the printables are much, much cuter!
Attached ribbon of your choice, punch/cut a 2" inch circle from a scrapbook paper and glue it to the bottom of your mini roll, add a paper handle.
Once is all dried, you can fill them with kisses embellished using the coordinated stickers

Another cute and easy idea is to use
test tubes and/or petri dishes as party favors.
For these favors, I used the cupcake toppers from the Halloween party printable and ribbons.
Just add some mini M&M's or mini marshmallows.
I bought the petri dishes and test tubes at Amazon.

The set is only $9 right now (60% off) and includes a huge variety of designs for favors, decorating and of course to host a super fun Halloween party!

Happy Halloween!!
